OUTREACHES AND VOLUNTEERING
LSU SWE makes it a priority to promote women in engineering by getting involved in the community and inspiring K-12 students to pursue a degree in STEM.
LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Participate in our mentor/mentee partnership to gain leadership experience as a mentor or insight into how to be successful as an engineering student from upperclassmen as a mentee.
Join a WISE committee to help plan and coordinate an event for over 200 women in engineering.
Run for an officer position to grow and develop your leadership skills as well as the organization.
NETWORKING
Attend events where industry professionals give presentations on career fair do's and don'ts, possible internship/full-time opportunities, and advice for young women entering a male-dominated field.
